THIS PERFORMANCE IS TRACKED

by a ‘surveillance room’ installation. The audience is instructed to move the arms around the building by a low automated voice, monitors show CCTV footage of people interacting and carrying the arms - into other peoples work as well as around corridors. Other monitors show videos of the artist being lifted and carried around a busy exhibition, reaching out to people to participate and support them. Each of the silicone arms contain an AirTag, to track the location which is livestreaming in the installation.

This is designed for the Glasgow School of Art Degree Show, exploring questions of surveillance, technology and reality. Understanding personal and ‘art world’ boundaries and infiltrating them using participation and discomfort.
